With the admission season in process, and the students in a quandary regarding choosing their stream, Aplomb India is the panacea for answering the most pivotal question of your life- Arts, Science or Commerce?

There is a misconception prevailing in our society that only a ‘weak student’ opts for Arts. Arts stream is not the first choice of 80 or 90 percenters and has always been considered a recourse for those who do not get admission in any other stream or those who just want to earn a degree. But “Humanities is not a stream, just like Science not being limited to gravity. It is the art of basic living. A true sense of HUMANITY.”- Anonymous. It is high time that we change this perception of Arts and Humanities being a stream of losers and the dull. On the contrary, it wouldn’t be wrong to say that the subjects of this stream have the power to transmogrify the world and restructure the disfigured foundation of the principles on which our society is based.

Also, the Arts represent an outlet of expression, of emotion. In the words of Guillaume Apollinaire, a well-known French poet and playwright “Without poets, without artists, men would soon be weary of nature’s monotony.” This means that the supreme idea of the Universe, as perceived by man would collapse.   The order which we find in nature, and which is only an effect of art, would at once vanish. Everything would break up in chaos. There would be no seasons, no civilization, no thought, no humanity and life would be fatuous. As Barack Obama said correctly, “Arts and Humanities aren’t just there to be consumed when we have a free moment. We need them like medicine. They help us live.”

Taking Arts stream will make you look at the world with different perspectives and will have a tremendously powerful effect on the mind. It will make you look at things the way you haven’t seen ever and probably wouldn’t have been able to otherwise.

Bachelor of Arts (BA) is an undergraduate program of 3 years. The eligibility for this is 10+2. The subjects taught in BA are English, Philosophy, Political Science, History, Psychology, etc. As a part of BA course the students need to study five compulsory subjects along with few elective subjects. These subjects vary depending on the discipline selected by candidates. But the job market demands more than just a graduate, so a Master of Arts (MA) is much needed. Master of Arts is a post-graduation level programme which is usually of two-year duration. Candidates who possess a graduation degree can only pursue an MA course. MA is a specialised course in which aspirants are offered in-depth knowledge of the discipline they have selected e.g. MA in History, MA in Economics, MA in Sociology and so on. The jobs one can get after the completion of this course are well- reputed such as a teacher, journalist, administrative officer, counsellor, etc.

And since 1999, Aplomb India has created a benchmark using its ethical codes in imparting education among masses. The courses we provide are affiliated to Govt. approved Universities, accredited to UGC- Ministry of   HRD, Govt. of India and have good industrial value.
